Arirang
Arirang is taken from the classic Korean language that does not have the right form. Ari means beautiful, beautiful (for example 아리따운, a word that is in classical Korean which means beautiful or beautiful). Whereas rang means lover. From these words it can be concluded that arirang means “my dear lover”.
Arirang is not only a folk song, but also this song reflects the history and nation of Korea, so it is very meaningful for the Korean nation. Thus, it is no exaggeration to say that Arirang is a symbol of Korea. Many events prove that, for example, Arirang’s song was sung as a single team song between South Korea and North Korea in various international events and Koreans living in 125 countries also sang Arirang as a Korean folk song.
Some famous forms or versions of Arirang:

• Jindo Arirang (진도 아리랑) from Jindo Island, South Jeolla
• Miryang Arirang (밀양 아라 랑) from Miryang, South Gyeongsang
